DESCRIPTION We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this stunning and Aston Martin DB6 Mark II Vantage Saloon (1970 Model Year), which was originally built to right hand drive and Vantage specification. Finished to original exterior colour specification of Dubonnet Red with Tan Hide Seating and Deep Red Carpeting and bound in burgundy hide, options fitted by the supplying dealer included Seat Belts and a Motorola Radio. Supplied with original service voucher booklet and bill of sale, this car was first delivered to Mr H Fielding in Windermere, Cumbria on the 15th of January 1970. Its service voucher booklet boasts 15 stamps by the supplying dealer and by the 8th of May 1974, she had covered a total of 35,190 miles. The DB6 was exported to Canada in October of 1979, at which time its mileage was believed to be 52,988 miles. It is believed that the car was returned to the UK in 1987 and there are all the MOT certificates from the 18th of October 1988, showing a recorded mileage of 63,000 miles, through to the present day. The car changed hands four times, before Mr Alan Mould purchased the on the 24th of October 1991 at a Brooks Auction, he sold the car to Mr Michael Bowman on the 11th of May 2000, who was responsible for restoring the car to its current Concours winning standard. During his ownership the car underwent a total restoration, with the chassis and body work being attended to by Bodylines Specialist Panel Beaters and the Paintwork undertaken by Spray Tec Restorations. Various components were overhauled during this time and the engine was converted to unleaded specification by Oselli Engineering of Oxfordshire. There is a photographic record of the comprehensive works undertaken by Bodylines and of the car at Waddesdon Manor, where it won the Elite Class at the AMOC Concours event. Bramley purchased the car from Mr Bowman in July 2006 and prior to our sale of the car in August 2006, it was sent to Aston Martin Works Service at Newport Pagnell to have a full inspection/test and report and service (copy of this invoice is also on file). Its previous owner entrusted the car with renowned Aston Martin Specialists in May of 2007, who serviced the car and carried out various minor works as instructed by the owner. The car is currently on display at our Surrey Showroom.
