Porsche Air Cooled Classic
24/05/2011
Bramley are currently proud to offer for sale three versions of the classic air-cooled Porsche 911. First up is a 1993 late-model 964 Turbo, powered by the 3.6-litre turbocharged flat-six engine and punching out 360bhp at 5,500rpm. Liveried in Midnight Blue with grey leather interior, this model is beautifully presented with lots of service history and a very modest 50,000 miles on the clock, so inspection is thoroughly recommended.
We also have an earlier 1989 Porsche 930 Carrera SE Cabriolet to tempt the connoisseur. This unusual factory-made ‘slant-nose’ model is one of only 9 examples built in right-hand drive for the UK market. Presented in Grand Prix White with white leather interior, its styling is based on the radical slant-nosed 935 race car, though with pop-up headlights. The turbocharged 3.3-litre engine develops 300bhp at 5,500rpm, and this extraordinarily low mileage example has covered only 32,300 miles in its 22 years’ service. For prices of these relatively scarce models, please call the showroom on 0844 822 7917.
We also have an example of the later 993 model, a 1994 Carrera 2S, finished in Ocean Blue with Marble hide interior that has done 55,000 miles. Last of the air-cooled 911s, and virtually hand-built ahead of the mass-produced liquid-cooled 996 model, this rear-drive 993 2S has an excellent service history and is fitted with a Tiptronic semi-automatic gearbox. It’s a gem and will set you back £35,995. These air-cooled Porsches are appreciating in value and should be snapped up now before European speculators spirit them away to the Continent!
