Aston Martins new look Zagato
07/07/2011
Aston Martin recently unveiled their new look V12 Zagato racecar concept at the Villa d'Este Concours in Italy. The car commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Zagato-bodied Aston Martin DB4 GT and GTZ, the first collaboration between the companies. Aston Martin is likely to build a road going version of the two-seater, based upon the V12 Vantage which features a new handcrafted aluminium body, as well as Zagato's signature 'double bubble' roof. Because the Zagato is lighter it is likely to be sub 4.0 seconds in the benchmark 0-60 sprint from its 6.0-litre, 510 bhp V12 engine.
Whilst Aston Martin prepare their new Zagato for its adoring public, Bramley have on offer a DB7 Zagato Coupe for sale in traditional Pentland Green; one of only 99 models sold to the public in 2004, this example has covered just 10,000 miles. It also features a 6.0 V12 engine producing 435 bhp and the traditional 'double bubble' roof. However, inside you will find less racing gadgets and a more traditional styling with veneer trim panels, quilted leather seating and a ribbed Tan Alcantara headlining.
